The MAE-Teacher Leadership program is ideal for the successful, experienced teacher who is interested in holding a leadership position as a professional teacher. Aligned with the Illinois Professional School Leaders Standards, this 33-semester hour master's program renews and strengthens the professional educator's competencies, skills and preparation as a strong instructional leader. Teacher Leadership students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Teacher Leadership courses are offered in a flexible online format. Some class sessions will require students to log in at a set time for group instruction. EDU 532 Foundations must be the first course taken in the program. Students typically complete the Teacher Leadership program in 14-21 months depending on previous individual course work.
Costs
Tuition for the coursework and research component is $360 per credit hour. The total cost for tuition and fees is approximately $11,985. Tuition credit may be available for supervision of student teachers and field experience students.
